Where technology finds a home - Stories from the world of industrial buildings

What comes to mind when we hear the word “factory”? Huge halls, assembly lines, robots, and nonstop production? Yet an industrial facility is a far more complex world than that. It’s a building in which every detail must be tailored to what will operate within it and how.

In the latest vodcast episode of Constructed Stories, Krisztina Bombera sits down with host and video blogger Csaba Gyetván and András Károlyi, KÉSZ Group’s Director of Industrial Technologies Business Unit, to explore how factories have changed from the Industrial Revolution to the present day, and in what direction they may continue to evolve with the rise of automation and robotics.

The conversation also reveals that in a modern industrial facility, the building and the technology operating within it are closely intertwined. The design process must start with the manufacturing processes and align architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical systems, control technology, and numerous other disciplines with them. A modern factory is thus much more than just a simple hall: it is a complex system where every element has a specific role.

But how is a modern industrial facility created? What goes on behind the scenes before a single product rolls off the assembly line? How are automation and robotics transforming industrial facilities—and what role does human expertise still play in all of this?

We’ll be seeking answers to these questions in the latest episode of Constructed Stories.
